Nintendo New 3DS

Instead of giving us a completely new handheld console, Nintendo has instead slightly tweaked the 3DS and 3DS XL, beefing up the processor, slightly increasing the screen size on the smaller model and playing around a bit with the design. The killer addition though is the new 3D system that no longer requires you to look directly at the display and the effect won’t disappear when you move your head. It actually made us turn back on the 3D and go back and replay some classic 3DS titles. Other nice additions include some retro colouring on the 3DS buttons and a more ergonomic, comfier feel in the hand, plus the new nub type joystick. Oh, and you know we mentioned the processor increase earlier? Well that’ll mean some new games will only work on the new system and not on the older versions.

DJI Inspire 1

Best gadgets for men New gadgets and gizmos DJi is the name on everyone’s lips when it comes to consumer drones and the Chinese brand is turning heads with the ridiculously futuristic looking Inspire 1. With its carbon fiber arms that give you a 360 degree view, integrated 4K camera that boasts 12-million pixels, a nine element lens and captures footage at 30fps, this is the drone to beat. A fantastic mobile app gives you full control and it can even be powered, simultaneously, by two remotes.

Sennheiser’s Momentums

Some of our favourite headphones for the past couple of years have been Sennheiser’s Momentums, as they sound terrific, have a classy, durable design and sit comfortably on our ears. Now, they’ve just received a massive upgrade, notably Bluetooth connectivity. Bluetooth 4.0 lets you ditch the cable and go wireless, but without sacrificing sound quality. You should get around 22 hours of use from a single charge, which sounds good to us and the recharge time is pretty quick too. NoiseGard tech adds in noise cancellation along with four mics to pipe in vital noise, so you’re not completely in the dark.

Naim Audio's Muso music system

Naim Audio's Muso music system is a premium swiss army knife of audio goodness. Working mainly as a wireless speaker system, it also has a built-in loudspeaker and every kind of connection you could want. Under the solid aluminium chassis, there are six 75-watt digital amplifiers boasting 450W of power that'll play 24bit/192kHz high resolution audio from a range of formats including FLAC, WAV and, of course, MP3. However, it also connects to other Naim systems and acts as a multi-room streamer similar to Sonos using either Apple or Android devices. The connectivity on board includes Apple's AirPlay, Bluetooth and Universal Plug 'n' Play as well as traditional USB, 3.5mm and Ethernet. It offers support for streaming services like Napster or Spotify and internet radio too.
